Linda Bertoldi is a senior partner and the national leader of BLG's Electricity
Markets Group. She has wide-ranging experience in the power sector in project
development, fi nance, mergers & acquisitions in all clean and renewable technologies.
She represents lenders, equity providers, developers, large industrial and commercial
consumers and industry stakeholders. Bertoldi advises Ontario municipalities and
municipal electric utilities on mergers, divestitures, governance, and corporate and
fi nancing structures and is involved in commercialization of water, wastewater and
infrastructure projects. Recognized in Chambers Global 2014 (Band 1 – Energy:
Power) she is also named as a leading lawyer in Energy (Electricity) and Corporate

provision of legal and strategic advice on the development, fi nancing and operation of
energy projects in and outside Ontario. A practice focus has been on renewable energy
projects, including wind, run-of-river hydro, solar and biomass projects. Represented
various stakeholders, including First Nations, Aboriginal-owned entities and private-
sector developers negotiating with projects involving First Nations and advising on the
duty to consult and accommodate. Recently led the deal team representing GDF Suez
