Robert Kopstein is a tax partner at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP who practices in the
areas of Canadian, US, domestic and international tax with emphasis on Canada-US
cross-border transactions. Has extensive experience in corporate fi nance, resource
taxation, mergers & acquisitions and tax controversy matters. Authored and presented
numerous papers on a variety of topics at various professional organizations, including
the CTF, TEI, CR A, CBA, ABA, Tax Analysts and the Canadian Corporate Counsel
Association. Canadian editor for BNA International Tax Guide. Canadian contributor
to the book Tax Planning for International Mergers, Acquisitions, Joint Ventures and
