Practices corporate/commercial litigation with a focus on intellectual property matters
involving patents, copyright, trade-marks, domain names, trade secrets and privacy
disputes arising in the life sciences, information technology, media and other industries.
Represents public/private sector clients, including major pharmaceutical companies, in
administrative hearings, judicial reviews and Charter matters, and also defends media
clients on defamation and free expression issues. Appears as counsel at all levels of court
in Ontario, the Federal Court, the Federal Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of
Canada, as well as in commercial arbitrations. Recognized as a leading practitioner in

Partner and head of Goodmans' Litigation Group. Focuses on commercial and intellectual property litigation. Frequently appears before the Federal Court of Canada and the
Ontario Superior Court of Justice representing pharmaceutical clients regarding intellectual property and trade-mark matters. Particularly active in proceedings prosecuted
pursuant to the Patented Medicines (Notice of Compliance) Regulations and has been a
frequent speaker and chair of conferences in respect of such Regulations. Lecturer for
the LLM health law IP course at Osgoode Hall Law School. Recognized by Lexpert®
and Chambers Global (IP litigation); Euromoney, as one of the top 25 Canadian patent

Don Cameron's practice focuses on intellectual property litigation, particularly relating to patent, trade-mark, copyright, trade secrets law, and technology licenses, as well as
trade-mark prosecution. He also advises clients on intellectual property portfolio strategies and the intellectual property aspects of technology licensing. He is certified by The
Law Society of Upper Canada as a Specialist in Intellectual Property Law (Patents, Trademarks and Copyright) and Civil Litigation. Cameron has participated in intellectual
property law litigation involving a broad range of technologies and businesses including
electromagnetic fields and induction, semiconductor chip fabrication, telecommunications, mechanical devices, bioengineering, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and computer
databases. Cameron is an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Toronto Faculty
of Law and Osgoode Hall Law School at York University teaching Patent and Trade Secret
law at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
