His practice concentrates on complex commercial litigation with particular focus on Shareholder Rights/Corporate Governance and International Law. Significant cases have included acting for a group of institutional bondholders in challenging the $52-billion leveraged buyout of BCE, defending a publicly traded mining company and its directors against allegations of oppression, director negligence and breach of contract and several ICC arbitrations. Koehnen is the author of Oppression and Related Remedies, a leading text on shareholder rights and directors' liabilities published by Carswell, a Thomson Reuters business. He teaches at the Institute of Corporate Directors and is a past Litigation Committee co-Chair of the International Bar Association. Adrian Lang is a partner with the Litigation Group in the Toronto office of Stikeman Elliott. Her practice concentrates on corporate commercial litigation, securities litigation and class-action litigation.
