A MESSAGE FROM THE EDITOR As Lexpert and Canadian Lawyer prepare for our 2026 celebration of excellence across the legal profession, it is worth reflecting on how much has shifted over the past year. From continued global uncertainty to evolving regulatory landscapes and rising expectations of accountability, Canada's legal community has been navigating a period defined by complexity and constant change. Across firms, in-house teams and institutions, the work has only become more critical. These conditions have deepened our respect for the role the legal profession plays in shaping business, policy and society.
