A MESSAGE FROM THE EDITOR
As Lexpert and Canadian Lawyer prepare for our annual celebration of excellence
across the legal profession, it's hard not to reflect on how the legal landscape has changed
since last year's Canadian Law Awards.
Between a crushing trade war, uncertainty about Canada's political future, and attacks
on the rule of law and legal profession down south, the last few months have seen
Canada's lawyers and legal organizations navigating a barrage of abrupt and complex
developments both at home and abroad.
The challenges of the current moment have only deepened our appreciation of the
legal profession's tremendous contributions. We are honoured to come together on May
7th to celebrate the outstanding individuals, deals, cases, initiatives, law firms, and in-
house departments in this profession.
Congratulations to all our Excellence Awardees and winners. The Canadian Law
Awards are a tribute to their leadership, commitment, and expertise – qualities that will
be much needed as we continue to forge onwards.
