PATTERN ENERGY, NIGIG POWER COMPLETE $1.2 BILLION REFINANCING OF ONTARIO WIND GENERATION FACILITY CLOSING DATE: SEPTEMBER 8, 2021 On September 8, 2021, Pattern Energ y Group LP, together with its partner Nigig Power Corporation, completed its refinancing of the 300 M W Henvey Inlet wind generation facility located in Ontario. The refinancing of $1.2 billion in non-recourse debt includes an 18-year senior secured credit facility and letters of credit. The power generated by the facility is sold to the Independent Electricity System Operator under a 20-year power purchase agreement and operates entirely on Henvey Inlet First Nation Reser ve lands. Pattern Energ y Group LP is a private renewable energ y company specializing in developing, owning, and operating util- ity-scale wind and solar power facilities in the United States, Canada, and Japan. Nigig Power Corporation is a private corporation wholly owned by Henvey Inlet First Nation. PIP WINS US$527 MILLION BID FOR PHILADELPHIA WILLIAM H. GRAY 30TH STREET STATION PROJECT CLOSING DATE: AUGUST 27, 2021 On Aug ust 27, 2021, Plenary Infrastructure Philadelphia (PIP), a Plenary-led consortium, reached finan- cial close in its winning bid for the design, construction, operation, main- tenance, and retail management of the Philadelphia William H. Gray III 30th Street Station project. e project includes the station building, a nearly 100-year-old facility and the third busiest station in Amtrak 's national system; a 60,000 square-foot, single-floor, open-air structured deck parking lot on Arch Street; and the commercial develop- ment of Parcel 1, which includes a roughly 32,500 square-foot tract of land and associated air rights. Davies Ward Philips & Vineberg LLP acted for Plenary Infrastructure Philadelphia on this project, with a team that included William Buchner (infra- structure), Gregory Southam (infra- structure), Jaimie Franks (infrastructure), and Katrina Brazzell (infrastructure). GOVERNMENT OF CANADA INVESTS $1.5 BILLION IN ZERO-EMISSION BUSES CLOSING DATE: AUGUST 6, 2021 On Aug ust 6, 2021, Canada Infrastructure Bank (CIB) completed initial investments in relation to the zero-emission buses (ZEB) initiative. CIB has a long-term target to invest $5 billion in public transit, including at least $1.5 billion over the next three years specifically for ZEBs – a safe, sustainable, environmentally friendly alternative to diesel buses. Zero-emission electric transit and school buses are expected to save approximately 100 tonnes and 20 tonnes of greenhouse gases, respectively. To date, CIB has agreed to support the purchase of new ZEBs in such cities as Brampton and Ottawa, Ontario and Edmonton, A lberta, as well as in the prov- inces of British Columbia and Quebec, and has approved investments for the purchase of more than 5,300 zero-emis- sion public transit and school buses. This first-of-its-kind program offers f lexible financing to accelerate integra- tion of ZEBs into f leets. Bus owners can access the financing on favourable and f lexible terms, in the form of direct loans, to cover the higher upfront capital costs of ZEBs, and repayment of the loans is based on actual savings generated by
