HIGH-PROFILE PATENT auctions and sales – think Nortel and Kodak – and the proliferation of intellectual property
(IP) litigation are highlighting the value of IP; the risks and
rewards it brings to the table in any potential M&A transaction are now front and centre. "IP has real value and in an
M&A deal, people are willing to pay significant money for it,"
says Marvin Singer, a senior partner in the M&A Group with
