Adam Maerov has been a partner in the firm's Corporate Restructuring Group since 2009 and he has led
the firm's Alberta restructuring practice since 2012. Since being called to the Ontario Bar in 2003, Adam's
practice has included all aspects of insolvency law including workouts, reorganizations, bankruptcies,
receiverships, liquidations and security enforcement. He advises borrowers, lenders, investors, court officers,
directors and officers, customers, unsecured creditors and suppliers in domestic and cross-border restructur-
ing proceedings. Adam was a co-chair of a task force that developed the model distressed asset purchase
agreement for the Business Bankruptcy Committee of the American Bar Association and he is a vice-chair
of the Corporate Governance Subcommittee and the International Director of the same committee. In 2018
Adam received the Kathryn R. Heidt Memorial Award from the ABA in recognition of his leadership, gen-
erosity, service and writing. Adam was appointed Office Management Partner of McMillan's Calgary office
at the beginning of 2017.
