Ken is a partner in the firm's Pension and Employee Benefits Law Practice Group. He advises pension and
benefit plan sponsors on a range of legal and regulatory issues affecting their plans, including on pension plan
governance and compliance monitoring projects, regulatory applications and the handling of pension dis-
putes. He works with managers in the draing and maintenance of pension documents, including plan texts,
trust declarations, governance policies, statements of investment policies, as well as investment manager
and other service provider contracts. Ken is oen involved in assisting parties in M&A on the pension and
benefits issues arising in the course of planning and executing their transactions. Ken was named Employee
Benefits Law Lawyer of the Year in 2019 for Vancouver in Best Lawyers in Canada. He is recognized by
Chambers Canada and Chambers Global in the pensions & benefits (Canada) category, Legal 500 Canada
and is rated 4.5/5.0 by the Martindale-Hubbell International Law Directory in the pensions, employee

Murray practices exclusively in the pension and employee benefits area and is head of the firm's Pension &
Employee Benefits Group. He is legal counsel for the boards of trustees of more than 30 multi-employer pen-
sion or benefit plans in the public and private sectors in British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Alberta, as well
as numerous sponsors of single employer arrangements. He has advised on many disputes relating to pension
and benefit plans. Murray has acted in the introduction of joint trusteeship to several public sector pen-
sion plans in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. He is recognized by Best Lawyers in
Canada for employee benefits law, Legal 500 Canada for pensions, Chambers Canada and Chambers Global
