Glenn Ackerley is chair of the Construction Law Practice Group at WeirFoulds LLP. Advises on project
structures, construction and consultant contracts, procurement issues, and risk-avoidance strategies, oen
in the role of "project lawyer". Litigates construction claims, including construction lien and trust claims,
tendering disputes, and deficiency and delay claims. Recent member of the Expert Panel's Advisory Group
on changes to the Construction Lien Act. Instructor, Ontario Association of Architects' Admission Course.
Developed and taught the construction law course at Ryerson University's Department of Architectural Sci-
ence for many years. Member of the construction section of the ADR Institute of Ontario and experienced
mediator, arbitrator, and referee. Speaks and writes regularly for legal and trade seminars and publications,
including Ontario General Contractors Association Symposium. Past Chairman of the Board, Toronto
Construction Association. Board Member, Canadian Construction Association. Fellow, Canadian College
