Bradley Freelan's practice at Fasken Mar-
tineau DuMoulin LLP focuses on Corpo-
rate and Securities Law, with an emphasis
on Mergers and Acquisitions, Shareholder
Activism, and Corporate Finance. He rep-
resents acquirers and targets across a broad
range of industries in both private and pub-
lic M&A transactions and provides gover-
nance advice to boards and special com-
mittees. Freelan initiated and led one of the
most successful profile-building projects in
the firm's history: the firm's proxy contest
and hostile bid studies, which offer a de-
tailed, empirical analysis of proxy contest
and hostile bid activity in Canada. ou-
