throughout the year as the lawyer repre-
sentative on the Kelowna office's Social
Committee and spearheads the firm's an-
nual cross-office golf retreat. He organizes
the Farris 9 and Dine golf tournament each
summer, which partners the firm's lawyers
with members of the region's business com-
munity for a friendly tournament. Dow is
on the Board of Directors and is Vice Presi-
dent of Launch Community Development
Foundation and he is a founding member
and is on the organizational committee for

Elder's diverse Civil Litigation practice
spans Health Law, Construction, Com-
mercial Litigation and Real Estate disputes.
He has been lead counsel in numerous
high-value disputes, including a $7-million
claim arising out of a large steam metering
project, a multi-million-dollar case against
parties involved in the upgrade of a district
energy system, and a medical negligence
claim with allegations of delayed diagnosis
resulting in quadriplegia. Elder Chairs the
firm's Construction Group and is a mem-
ber of the Strategic Planning Committee.
He frequently presents to industry groups,
including ACEC-BC, BC Building En-
velope Council and BC RIMS. He volun-
teered with Access Pro Bono BC for more
than five years and served for three years on
the Executive of the Urban Land Institute.

Michael Fenrick

Michael Fenrick has a broad Civil Litiga-
tion practice at Paliare Roland Rosenberg
Rothstein LLP. He works in Constitution-
al Law, Corporate Commercial Litigation,
Class Actions, Professional Discipline, and
Labour and Employment Law and has a
particular interest in public-law issues. He
has developed an expertise in litigating
public-private partnership disputes, acting
for both leading construction and engin-
eering companies. Fenrick has appeared at
the Supreme Court of Canada on numer-
ous times and regularly acts for high-pro-
file clients in a crisis management role on
sensitive matters involving the media. He
is Chair of the firm's Continuing Profes-
sional Development Committee and was
appointed to its Associates Committee.
He has taught Constitutional Law at the

Clara Ferguson practises Energy and Regu-
latory Law with a focus on Public Utility
Regulation at Lawson Lundell LLP. Her
files are oen highly specialized, multi-
faceted and span multiple years. She regu-
larly appears as counsel before the Alberta
Utilities Commission, BC Utilities Com-
mission, National Energy Board and other
administrative tribunals. Ferguson under-
stands the regulatory environments in
both BC and Alberta and has spent signifi-
cant time practising in each jurisdiction as

Finkelstein has negotiated complex cyber-
security vendor agreements with some of
the world's largest companies on behalf of
one client and he negotiates talent agree-
ments for television performers. He has
negotiated sponsorship and endorsement
