Advances in Professional Training
Keeping in step with the times: for nearly a year, the IQPF has been
working on a new mixed approach to professional development,
which combines in-class learning with online training. The overhaul
will standardize teaching, support participants in the development
of their competencies and foster the transfer of knowledge in the
workplace, while maintaining excellence and longevity of the courses.
The new version of the Professional Training Course will be launched
in fall 2018.
And on the topic of professional training, I want to mention the
success of our Executive Program students: in general, they do better
on the Professional Training Course and the IQPF exam, as they come
to them so well prepared. The Executive Program, first offered by
the IQPF in 2010, is for finance professionals who already have some
experience. The course has been offered online since 2012.
On Professional Development
Exceptionally this year, the Congress will be held at the end
of September. Are you registered yet? By that time of the year,
Charlevoix should be starting to put on its annual colour parade
to welcome us in style. It will be a great opportunity to complete
your IPFP professional development and make contact with your
colleagues in a lovely, bucolic setting. In other words, combining
business with pleasure!
Enjoy the rest of the summer!
