It is our intention to portray those lawyers whose practices comprise at least and approximately 25% cross-border mandates. 2. Then, we selected from the lawyers in (1) those who are Lexpert-ranked as Most Fre- quently Recommended (MFR). This is our highest level of ranking. The names of these MFR lawyers appear in this publication, regardless of any purchase. 3. The publication is divided into focus sections of relevance to US counsel and execu- tives. These sections are: Business Issues; Dispute Resolution; Financing; Insolvency; IP & Media; Labor/Employment; M&A; Regulatory; Tax; Trade. Under these focus sections, listees are drawn from various of the 64 Lexpert practice area rankings. 4. There is an Index of Listed Lawyers at p.82. 5. Law firms that have a cross-border MFR lawyer were invited to purchase photos/ bios for them and for the lawyers on their cross-border teams. You will note that bios are marked accordingly: a) individual bios are marked for the MFR lawyers noted above; b) marked for team members whose highest Lexpert ranking is Consistently Recommended (CR) or Repeatedly Recommended (RR); c) marked for Lawyers to Watch (LTW) if they are team members; and d) the bios of team members who are not ranked are not marked. If you have any questions about our methodology, we would be pleased to discuss further with you. www.lexpert.ca/usguide | LEXPERT • June 2018 | 5
