boards of directors of both private and public companies. Before joining Goodmans in
2007, he was a partner and senior litigator at a leading Toronto litigation boutique. Re-
ceived his LLM from Columbia University, was called to the New York Bar in 2006 and
began practicing with a leading US securities and class-action firm. Previously taught
trial advocacy for the Advocacy Society and the University of Toronto Faculty of Law.
Since 2007 he has taught courses on corporate governance and M&A in the Schulich
School of Business MBA program. Since 2012 David Conklin has also taught Corporate
Governance at the University of Toronto in its GPLLM Program as an Adjunct Pro-

medical devices and insurance. Represents clients in complex multi-jurisdictional pro-
ceedings and complex commercial disputes. Regularly works with clients and counsel in
